Waffleweave, Snow Foam & Wax etc.

Featured Replies

Hi all

Just a quick question for folks opinions -

I need a waffleweave cloth for drying, some snow foam and also some wax too. What do you prefer and why? Also, where should I buy from online and for how much? Many thanks. :)

I recentlt got stuff from Cleanyourcar, they had a discount on detailing World and I think it included 10% off and a free microfibre.

I bought a Mirical Drying Towel, Citrus Snow Foam and MaxiSudsII shampoo.

They delivered quickly and the whole process was very smooth.

I purchase my bits and pieces from Elite Car Care and always get good service from Alex and Alexandra, they also have a Detailing World Discount code........

I have a CG Miracle Dryer and it's not good so I recommend a Eurow Waffle Weave drying towel..........

Another vote for Elite here too :)

I like the Sonfus WW drying towels myself, but have heard good things about the Eurow too. I had a megs one and they are a waste of time as they go hard fast. :(

Thanks all.

Any word on wax? And what do you recommend for putting on and polishing off with? Want to get this right from the off if possible! Cheers.

If you looking for a good wax for good money then you can't go wrong with the Collinite range for under £20:

Elite Car Care

It you want to spend more money then you may compromise on durability but I tend to layer different waxes to achieve a nice glossy finish........

Collinte 476s is excellent.

I actually put a layer of sealant down first and then put the colli on top of this.

Many thanks guys - that's me nearly sorted. Next I'll just have to get it done and try to resize the pics for posting on here, so I'll let you know how it goes! Cheers

  • 2 weeks later...

I discovered last weekend that (after claying) Meguiar's Tech Wax 2, followed by Meg. Gold Class Wax, followed by Collinite 476s, is frigging brilliant! Should last a long time too. Hope this helps

I have previously used autobritedirect and the more recently CleanYourCar

Just the fact that there was a handwritten note thanking me for my order signed by whoever had dispatched it will make me return there again. Prices are so competitive on the internet nowadays its little things like this that differentiate - so thumbs up to CleanYourCar :)

What he said...I got a handwritten note too. Great service, the stuff reached me way out in the sticks in 2 days.

cleanyourcar for me, depending how much you spend they normally throw in a freebie, mf cloth or such like, allways well packed and a thank you from the boss man. Good contact aand advice from them as well on their forum :)
