Remote Central Locking Resynchronisation

Featured Replies

Hi, Just changed the battery on both Fabia Remote Central Locking remotes for my Dad's Fabia Comfort and have tried to resync them to the car but have been unsuccessful.

They are the official Two Button Skoda Fabia/Octavia Remote Central Locking Kit ones - ie not standard fit.

I have followed the guide in the Kit Manual, and everything appears to go as described but it does not operate the locks.

It says to:

-Insert the Key in the ignition - position "0"

-Press both of the buttons on the remote control simultaneously (for about 12 seconds) - the blinking LED diode will go out

- Release the buttons - the LED will shine permanently

- Turn the key in the ignition to position "1"

- Press any of the remote control buttons (three times in a row for at least 1 second) - the blinkers will flash shortly five times - this means that the control unit has carried out the resynchronisation

- Turn the key in the ignition back to position "0".

After doing all this it just doesn't work. It worked fine until the batteries were changed.

I have also tried teaching the code using the manual's guide but again it does not operate.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Did you solve the problem? Did you recode the fob to open the car?
