Modding Fabia vRS

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Putting dotz hanzo wheels on my fabia and FK high sport coilys.

Any suggestions on ARB, prefer a front 1 as i use my car for some heavy loading and big music equipment.

Also got Angel tuning remap.

ANy suggestions on future mods performance wise.

Want to get the car sitting about 200bhp (hopefully without spend and *** load of cash)

ANy help will b much appreiciated.

A safe 200bhp is going to cost you a new turbo, intercooler (fromt mounted), hoses, exhaust, remap, and may aswell get a green cottern filter and PD160 intake.

Would recommend a Limited Slip Differential (LSD), so you can get the power down.

Also, get a Jabbasport Rear ARB, dont get a front one, without the back, You will not go round corners too well. (Bad understeer).

Nice Wheels BTW. And how do you rate the FK Coilys? What did you pay, and how low? Pics would be good.

A 312mm brake upgrade would be something to consider pretty soon - esp if you already have a re-map and carry a lot of weight in the car.

In terms of bhp increase, to get from your current map (around 170bhp) to 200bhp is going to be lots of ££££££. I'd say sort the handling, sort the brakes, and invest a few hundered quid in some advanced driving tuition instead.

Oh - and another big  for the Jabba ARB - one of the most popular modifications with the Fabia owners on here

Just to add to the ARB think, you may want to add a REAR one, but I wouldn't do anything to the FRONT one unless you'd done serious work to the suspension (more than fitting coilovers) - they understeer badly enough as it is!

Hanzo's? I think that's a brave move for a Furby. What size you going for and what colour is your car?

BTW, to keep in on topic... I agree with Lofty. 200bhp even on this engine is going to cost a few beer tokens, but hey. I'm sure we've all eaten bread & jam in a few weeks of the year ;)
