Exhaust?

Featured Replies

looking to buy an exhaust system for my vrs which im collecting tomorow, Ive been searching and i found 4 different system the blueflame, miltek, magnex and the scorpion system. Ive seen loads of pics with people with blueflame and miltek exhaust systems and i dont like the look of the miltek so thats out the question. Any one got a scorpion or magnex exhaust who could post a pic???

Also i no your never going to get a diesel to sound as nice as a petrol car but which one makes more of a difference in sound to the standard system???

also seen a few threads having debats about de-cats but im leaving that for now!!!

Blueflame get my vote.

looks nice that does is that the same size as the blueflame? What does it sound like mate?

Yeah much the same as Blueflame, I think it sounds pretty good when on boost :)

The problem is , Magnex is no longer I am afraid :(

So it would be hard to get one , plus there would be no warranty

But we have sold a couple and people seem to be pleased with them

Milltek`s are a good price and they do a decat pipe too

Ive just got part of my exhaust from Halfords.... Yes, you read that right.

The new Rip Speed sign looks like \\\RS , kindof like the vRS sign (you'd have to see it, not on there website yet).

Now, its only a stainless tip, but im welding up my own turbo back exhaust, straight through, with just the tip to finish it off.

For sound, look it up on youtube, type in "My TDI Beetle Y2k with a straight pipe".

Sounds like a bomb being dropped lol

cant decide if i like that or not..........defo different

BOOM, heres another...

The straight pipe would probably cost about £120 fitted if you bought the bends and srtaights on ebay, or someone like Merlin Motorsport, and got an engineering/fabrication workshop to do it on your car.

Luckly for me, i have a close friend who will lend me his workshop pit, and gear. And i can weld stainless, and he has a mandril bender! Get in.

Ill see if he wants to make a couple with me. Using my car as a jig.

Could be an interesting little project mate. Keep us posted on how you get on and what it sounds/looks like

wheres best place to buy a blueflame exhaust from £240 on ebay

Got a custom built decat on mine from Prospeed cardiff.

Sounds, looks mint and a lifetime warranty.

im from stoke-on-trent cardiff a bit far just for an exhaust

Youve got a powerflow center neer Stoke mate. Google it.

Ive heard good things about Prospeed too. Well worth going to if your local.

Straight pipe gets my vote. Suggest the section to replace the backbox is a bit wider. Welded to a chrome oval of your choice.

Cheap effective and theoretically the best possible flow......
