Merits of an uprated BOV and N75

Featured Replies

Hi, All

I have has my Octavia Mk1 VRS remapped and it drives very well however, like all of us after a while, it feels "slow" again.

I have been looking to possibly fit a new BOV possible a Forge007 or Turbo Technics Viper but TBH I am unsure as to the merits of this and does it make any noticeable difference at all to the drive. Has anyone some first hand experience with these that can give some advice.

Also looking into fitting a N75J in conjunction with it but once more have heard many things so some first hand, comments will be much appreciated.

Regards Chris

Obviously not !!

no advantages other than possible reliablity gains from the DV and none from the N75.

HTH

I went back to the standard Dv, there is no difference in performance.

I also had the J valve but also went back to the oe F valve due to the J valve overboosting and the car going into limp mode.

see :)

How about fitting ARB's and uprated bushes, enabling you to enjoy what you've already got more. Failing that, turbo back exhaust perhaps?? [expense, though]

Many Thanks for the input.

Pretty much as i suspected but will probbally swap the DV for added reliabillity and forget the N75.

the ARB's and bushes will probably cost more than an exhaust!!

i paid about £500 or so for a turbo back exhaust i think all those years ago and have just bought a set of ARB's and they cost £300, add to that poly bushes are gonna cost £150 ish in parts alone.

Turbo back exhaust surely looking at around £650-£700 now, unless I'm looking at wrong makes. Thought bushes came with the Eibach arb kit for about £250, might be wrong though, usually am....
