Basically will this fit the Fabia vRS? one of my captive nuts has went MIA from the drivers strut top ?

The part numbers are slightly different from the one I have, they do look similar though, remember you might as well put a bearing on at the same time

Strut Top Mount - 6Q0412331B - Retail = £10.62+VAT Each

Top Mount Bearing - 6N0412249C - Retail = £9.50+VAT Each

I'd go to the dealers for not much more

Just buy one from your dealer using your chassis number, you'll get the right part and for a similar price.

Is it essential to change the bearing?

For the sake of a tenner a side its not worth it not to IMHO, by the time you have it on and off the car and its more hassle than its worth if it fails six months down the line.

The bearings don't like being fecked around with. As above, if you are going to the trouble of changing the mount you may as well do the bearings.

Ah right, im just replacing one side so that will be fine? dont see much point replacing both sides if one is fine?
