bump strips

Featured Replies

debadged the back of my car using a steamer like you use for wall paper and always used use it on previous cars and the badges and glue come straight off, then i started on the bump strips and got it off easily and it left little tinny bubbles under the paint. any ideas whats caused this???

either heat damage by the steamer, doesn't sound likely or maybe rust starting? how old is the car and can you post a picture?

aint got a pic as i managed to stick the strip back on, but still wanting to remove them. Its a 2004 reg

Its common. Mines is the same as are many others. Possibly bubbling below the rubstrips due to water ingress or applied to close to cars top coat :)

Mines the same:( Quite annoying as i wanted to remove the bumpstrips aswell. Mines a 2006 '56' plate
