which oil?

Featured Replies

not having my book on me wasnt sure what oil is best for oct vrs.

was just going to get it done at national because is so cheap.

whats the best to go for (not on variable servicing)

Castrol Magnatec 10W40 Semi Synthetic

Castrol Magnatec 5W30 Full Synthetic

Castrol Edge 5W30 Full Synthetic

Castrol Edge 0W30 Full Synthetic

Is your servicing variable or fixed ???

What part of 'not on variable servicing' are you struggling with? ;) :P

Don't know for certain on the 1.8T, but I think the Edge 5W30 is the right one...

I think my observant friend is right 5w30 should do it. 0w30 is variable iirc

I need to learn to read :o

ah ok thanks

I just did mine with Mobil 1 0w-40 Fully synthetic.. dont know if that helps :p

I use Edge 5W30 at least every 10k which is a longlife oil for variable servicing and therefore would last well beyond 10k, trade off is the higher price but I prefer only the best oils in my engine.

All prices are inclusive of filter and environmental oil disposal, an additional charge of £5 to £10 may be made on certain vehicles for the removal of undertrays when an oil and filter change is being carried out.

hmm does oct have one and can you take it out with little ground clearance? the vrs is quiet low tho....

i.e 2 wheels on the curb (all be it a big curb)

Yeah easy, the under tray is a doddle to remove as long as you have the right size torx bit.

You need too remove the small undertray at the front. It can be left in place but you'll need bendy arms.

Pinner.......are you following me around here today
