I am just being lazy and dont want to look in the manual. I have 1.6 Octavia GLi Estate, on the onboard there is an MPG and an MPG with a slashed zero. Which is the one that tells me how many mpg I am doing and what ios the other one? Thanks in advance!!!

One shows the average MPG, the other shows instantaneous MPG

The one with the slash through is the average (I think averaged over the trip); the other one is near instantaneous readings - don't get mesmerised by that!

I would consider the average to be a more accurate measure anyway.

The instantaneous can be fun though:-

1) The how bad can I get under hard acceleration? game

2) The how high will it go before the fuel cutoff works? game

3) The what, if any, difference will a higher or lower gear at steady speed make? game

Oh, btw, the "trip average" mode is probably about 10% optomistic compared with tank to tank figures, but the "available range" mode is pretty accurate!
