onboard heater / cooler problem?

Featured Replies

hi all

i have a fabia 1.2HTp on an '03' plate. over the past few mornings when travelling to work, i have the temperature switches set to about 20 degrees, fan speed 2 and air adjusted to come out of the blowers. the temp is a nice setting for me, as i prefer to drive with a cool breeze. however over the past few days, all of a sudden the air coming out of the vents will warm up quite considerably for about 1- - 15 secs, then go back to normal. this happens about twice during my 15 min journey (the engine is generally warm when i start it, having driven the car about 45 mins before taking my wife to work)

is this just a problem with the air flow system, or is there a more underlying problem that may need checking out?

many thanks in advance for your comments.............

sorry, forgot to say that the temperature needle on the dash is as it should be, and does not increase or decrease when the problem happens.
