Anyone here with a remapped 110 TDI?

Featured Replies

I'm in two minds whether to change my 110 for an old shape PD130 (a new elegance 2.0 tdi is just a bit out of budget) or to have it Jabba'd.

Has anyone here had a 110 remapped , and what did they end up with afterwards. I'd also be interested to know how the fuel economy changed as well.

Thanks

I haven't had mine done :(, but...

Stuart (Stuart_J) had his wife's L&K done, and they seem really pleased with it. John (JayTee) has also had his estate done, and I know he's happy with his too. I think both of them were around the 155bhp mark (ish), and I believe it has made little difference to the fuel economy. Wise to ask them both yourself, though, just in case I'm misquoting them ;)

Yep, had ours done & it totally transformed the car, 164 bhp & a torque figure of 393

Performance wise Ive seen 135 on the clock & its quicker than the small Audi TT's which are I believe rated at about 180 but without all that lovely torque.

MPG actually improved, we were getting around 50, it now gives 54 & thats being driven fairly hard, Motorway driving where queues permit is undertaken with cruise set at 85. Much higher figures can be achieved if you try, last year in France we achieved nearly 80 over about 25 miles & at one stage it was reading 99.9 but that was coming off a Mountain so impressive figures but totally pointless

It really was a total transformation & weve done about 37000 since the remap with no problems, the only down side is that front tyre wear rates seem to have increased, cant think what has caused that !!!!

A trip to Jabba will be cheaper than changing the car & even if you change it will still be slower than a Jabbad 110.

We are in Winchester if you need a spin to convince you

164 bhp!!! Thats impressive indeed , and better than I expected.

Well I think thats me convinced. All I have to do now is wait till I get my car back and see about the insurance.
