Here's some pics of my Felly I thought I'd post after Furby owners started the threads

Whats been done?

Not much apart from spraying the arches the first time I screwed up using the wrong type of tape.

Radio/Cassette changed to a JVC CD Changer my uncle gave from his old car.

Speakers changed and 2x13cm ones put into the parcel shelf.

Carpet mats changed for Skoda rubber ones.

Oh and Brisky stickers :D

The attached pics.

The first 3 were taken a day after buying her on the works car park.

The last pic with the dent was taken after being sideswiped by a foreign truck on the M6 in 2007.

Impressive wheel arch job. Must've affected the aerodynamics (especially on the right side), do you notice any difference in handling/performance? :D

You've also made a good job with the badge on the steering wheel, it gleams like a gem. Must've taken some time?

I'll see if I can get som piccies up here after the weekend to show what can be done with a can of Hammerite and a brush ;)

Seriously: a nice car, and I like the attitude - taking good care of a perfectly standard Everyman car makes sense to me

Thanks AK & Swedish

I did notice the handling become slightly sharper and out handles Porsches and BMWs

Actually the gleaming badge didnt take any time. That pic was taken with my camera phone in the works car park a day after buying the car.

I just clean the dashboard with Flash/general cleaner.

It's only washed, waxed and tyre waxxed too so no special polishes used which has yielding some pleasing results. :D

I need to work on the wheel arches again (only 3 of them as the dented panel was replaced) because the rust is poking through again.

I'll take some more interior pics. :)

Will do, it's the same colour as your's.

Where did you get the silver paint from, tried Halfords today and couldn't find any silver, infact very little Skoda colours.

Mick

I'll put up a couple of pics some time soon. Not modified mine since I got it about 3/4 years ago as basically I don't want the hassle with increasing my insurance and running costs. Also it is only a 1.3 engine that's in it so there isn't much point. Apart from that it is 10 years old this year and it only has done just over 22,000 miles. When I got it it had done about 7,500. Also hardly any blemishes in the paint work only got a few chips plus a wee scrape where some **** with his BMW decided to whack his door into my car when I was sitting in it and they denied he caused the damage despite the paint transfer.

Some pics sent off to the insurance company and let them decide perhaps? ;) + threat of calling police for failure to provide details at scene of an accident.

(Or the "well I didn't spray brake fluid all over your door" approach )

For the amount of hassle it is to do that it wouldn't be worth it as I could repair the damage quicker and cheaper than having to go through insurance.

I got mine from Halfords.

The first time I had to get the Halford guys to mix a can. This year I just bought the VW silver.
