Audi RS6 Test Drive

Featured Replies

The uncluttered exterior really appeals to me actually. Interior looks fantastic too, although I would be seriously worried about it being hijacked for a bank robbery etc. if I owned one. :( Perfect vehicle, fast, understated and with a boot. A friend of my dad's knows just what it's like to be hijacked by armed robbers. :(

Not sure about the bright blue fuel gauge area though. Seems a bit lairy and even borderline chav?

Nice car, and love those seats

Seems to be a reflection that Rob. I knew it didn't look right when I saw it, and doesn't fit into Audi's way of doing things, nor their colour scheme.

If you take a look here, and zoom in, it's clear that the background is just like the rest of the dials.

Steve

Thats one nice looking audi, thanks for sharing Johnny

It is just a reflection.

The dash is actually quite bad for reflections like that.

I could live with that though !

Although, From Seafield to Sighthill (opposite sides of Edinburgh for those not in the know) it averaged 12mpg. :thumbdwn:

12mpg :eek::eek:

Well if I won the lottery I suppose I could live with that!

It got less as the day went on, as it was driven a bit more spirited. :D

In all honesty, i think the RS4 is much more fun, and definately more of a drivers car, the auto/tiptronic really takes a lot away from the car, whereas the RS4 is manual.

Still, i'm sure it wouldn't matter after a while.

I like the list of options though...£1200 to get the top speed de-restricted. ;):D

Stunning thanks Johnny

I should've came out to Broxburn really Keith. Sorry bud.

Certainly would like to hoon about in one for a day! I suppose atleast you can carry passengers in the back of an RS6 - not an option in the RS4 :P

i'm fairly sure they handle tom perfectly fine tom
Yeah.. it aint no BMW

Oh, I apologise, I forgot that 4wd was so well known for its handling finesse! 4wd, 2tonnes of barge = fine handling how?

Legroom is a little tight i the back of the 4's right enough.

The 6 was a complete barge, even with the suspension set to Sport, it was firm, but you could feel the weight at the front.

Was a big beast !

I think I read before that the RS6 just lacked the excitement of the new RS4. I still would have one though, if I came into a LOT of money, allowing for fuel as well.

This one had a tag of 79,995 on it when outside the dealers ! eek.

I think I'd take the RS4 Avant over it as well. If I was faced with such a difficult predicament, of course! :D

Plus, we fitted a Milltek to the RS4 a few months ago, so it sounds awesome.

The RS6 is one of my dream cars. I love the idea of being able to have all that space and comfort and then to have the insane acceleration. Hmm.. Perfect autobahn stormer.

lovely motor...... id have 1 in silver......

The milltek suite the RS4 so well YouTube - 2007 Audi RS4 with Milltek non-resonated Exhaust . Me bro bought one of these home a while back too but i didn't bother having ago in it  ( he wouldn't let me drive it), they do sound awesome in standard form without performance exhaust.
