Has anyone changed the ariel for a shorter one on a VRS as mine currently catches on my garage door.

nope but mine catches my spoiler! Luck it bends really

Just chop it to the desired length then pull the end cap off the top section and put it onto the bottom section!

Simple and effective!

Plus you can choose how long/short you want it!

I did this on my Polo too and reception does suffer a little but not a massive amount.

It's still MUCH better than the reception with one of those alloy "bee sting" antenna's.

Basically, if you cut yours down so it just clears your garage, then that's the best you're going to get!

Mine has the same problem as I have a very low garage door, all I do is loosen the screw and fold it down before putting it away. not good for lazy people but a fix none the less.
