I think it's because of the date it was registered :(

What date was that?

so how much are they asking for 12 months ?

Yep - pre March 2001 = old rules. So glad my car was built in April 2001.

They're asking for £185.

It was registered on the 11th December 2000.

Why on earth does that Justify an extra £75?!

Oh I see why now.

It doesnt necessarily justify it.

Its simply a tax and the rules about tax change for loads of reasons.

Mine is £210 for the Octy.......

It's to punish people with "older" more polluting cars without having to go back and co2 test older vehicles. altho you can actually save money on tax if you're in the market for a land rover or supercar. Instead of 440, you'll pay 185... nice...

Shame you can't do some kind of claim and using the same engine code as a later car, get put back on the same CO2 rating. :)

Eep...I'm not looking forward to the end of November then. I'll be just back from California then so I won't have much money to pay my poxy tax!! :finger::mad::(:thumbdwn::confused: aaaagh...
