Last night after I turned the engine off, I wanted to park the car in the 1st gear but I couldn't find it. All the other gears work just fine but the first is out of the game. I have to mention that I was in drag racing last night and the car worked just fine until I turned it off.

A mechanic told me that it might be the 1st and the second syncro. And it sounds very expensive... Can't he be wrong???

You can get reverse, and 3rd thro top, but not first or second?

Maybe the gear linkage playing up.

I was thinking that, but wanted to check exactly what the symptoms are.
