Knocking noise

Featured Replies

As some of you may know, i have this metalic nocking noise on my octy Vrs, well it went back into the garage for two days and they changed crank sensor ( i think ) and this does seem to have stoped the noise for now

Shall keep you in touch to see if it stays away. I was told that it is not a common fault but as i was leaving another octy Vrs came in with the same noise  . Hope this is not going to be a trend..........

Pete

Good luck with sorting that noise Pete :D

ok, took the car back once again to the garage and guess waht, they said it is ok  , " Its a noise that they all make sir " , they then procedded to try and intimadate me with 3 other technicians coming to have a look and say they all do that...... I have since been onto Skoda UK to make a complaint and they are sending a technician out from head office to see what the noise is.... This better be the last time or else i am going to go out and trade it in for a FORD mondeo :thumbdwn: . Really fed up.....

Is that the same garage that identified the noise in the first place ? How can they now claim it isn't a problem if they thought it was before

Yes jane, its the same garage!! and the same noise!! thats what i said to them, At least i got some paper work with them addmitting that they heard the noise, will show the tech guy on thursday, hopefully it will be resolved.

By the way the guy at the garage said that because their was no engine light on there was no fault  , made me laugh, cause when i first went in their was no light on but they said there was a noise and replaced the cambelt tesioner. :( :( :( :(
