Scout without a handle in the back?

Featured Replies

Hi everybody.

Today, my sisters car went out off battery, so I had to place a cord in my car to push her car, in order to get to a street were we could start the engine without need of battery.

But, when I get the cord to Scout, i nottest there is no place to place it, neither in the back or the front of the car. I found that there is no place that seems to have been made specifically for that.

Has anyone experienced this? Is is a forgotten item in the production of the car?

Thanks.

In the spare tire, with the jack and stuff you'll find the adapter, looks like a screw with a loop on the end.

If you look carefully at the bottom edge of the rear bumper you'll see there's a square that can be pulled out (on the LHD car it's on the passenger side), behind it there's a threaded receptacle for the said adapter, screws in counter clockwise, IIRC.

On the front the receptacle is next to the driver's side fog light. Haven't used it, but i think you put your finger through the round hole there and pull out the cover masking it.

Just noticed this was a Scout, i.e. different bumpers.

rear: black cover under the reflector opposite the tail pipe, in the skid plate. Reach under and pull. Grit will fall.

front: Little circular thingy to the right of the passenger side fog light. Pop key blade in from downwards and pop open. Don't lose.

What's above still applies for the regular Octi.
