Before & After Lowering

Featured Replies

Well after 8 months of owning my fabia vrs I decided to get my hands dirty and fit some Koni 40mm lowering springs purchased from awesome at a awesome price of £88.13 all in.

So I thought id post some pics before and after the fit.

Sorry about the poor image quailty of the last pic.

SO What do you think????

Very nice. Looks good.

Nice. What tyres have you got fitted, as they look a little chunky on the S3 rims?

I love the S3 rims, looks great now it lowered.

What does it drive like?

Looks miles better!

Tyres are 215/45/17. We've already been through the fact that they're wrong here :)

Well after taking it for a drive over the tops near me I personally think it drives a lot better, the handlig seems miles better, the extra body roll on standard shocks appears to have calmed down miles now it is lower.

Accelerating out of corners also feels more stable (i.e more grip)

You'll find the nose will dive less under breaking too. So it feels more stable, braking down from speed.

You still need proper tyres on those wheels though :D

Steve

ooooh..Koni's or Eibachs?! Am on standard wheels and shocks, and don't know!!

I meant seeing those pics has put some doubt in my head...I was going to go for Eibachs, but the car looks great on the Konis. As for the "on standard wheels and shocks..." i also mean for me, and I don't know whats best for it!!

Sorry for confusion. your car looks grand though ;):)

I always thought Koni didnt do springs for the vRS ?
