Octy vRS Exhaust change

Featured Replies

I've decided it's now time to change the exhaust. Milltek & Jetex seem to be high on my list so it

I had a milteck on my Octy - excellent quality and a nice sound, not loud though, just a bit meatier

Definite performance improvement as well, seemed keener to rev

I've got a Milltek and it's not as loud as I would have liked. It's made no noticable performance difference but looks nice!

Milltek - proven history on the Octavia, nice look, should offer a teeny performance improvement, not particularly loud, have been some problems with fit - tail pipe almost always seems to end up on a slight angle and some have had problems with flimsy brackets. Jetex, not many Octys with them, perhaps slightly louder, price and quality about the same IIRC.

Saw Des's car with the H&S system. Good to see H&S up to their usual high standards !!! Wish I had the money for the full system like I have on my Focus

Might have to treat myself...... Damn credit cards.......

I wouldn't go to H&S if you paid me. Apalling quality. My zorst now needs to go back for the SIXTH time to be fixed. They have gone downhill alot over the last few years.

Seems the Milltek is the choice offering. Where is the best place to get one fitted?

I live in South Yorkshire so I dont fancy travelling miles to get the job done

I've got the full Jetex system and i'm well chuffed with it. Nice sound and looks good. Jabba did the fit and i'm sure its faster now!!!!

Try JBS Auto Design in Chesterfield and speak to James. Not sure what make it is but he has a custom built system on his Octavia. Single large oval pipe if that matters to you.

It's Miltek.

Primey,

Give Mark At Dubsport A Ring Re Your Exhaust. They Tested 3 Inch Full System On An Octavia Rs And It It Gave An Increase Of 10 Bhp On The Rollers. It Was Either A Blue Flame Or A Mongoose, I Cant Be Sure.

I've Got A Miltek On Mine. Its Ok, But The Fitment On The Back Box Hanger Is A Bit Bob. The Exhaust Grows When It Gets Hot And It Hangs Down. I Had To Fabricate An Extra Braket To Keep The Tail Pipe In The Bumper Cut Out. The Car Did Feel A Bit Quicker When I'd Fitted It. I Got A 200 Cel Cat With Mine, But Apparantly You Can Specify A 100 Cel Cat. I Wasn't Told This When I Got Mine, And You Get Better Results With This Cat.

Hi all,

Am also looking for an exhaust system before re-map and wondered if it was the same fitting for the vRs as the standard 1.8T. Everything else appears the same engine wise but is the exhaust the same with the rear bumper having the cut-out?

Sorry for hi-jacking the thread!!!!

Have a chat with Jabba & see what they recomend as they have obviously seen a few on the rollers.

As there was no full system available for the 4x4 I had one custom made by Blue Flame & the improvement was very noticable, revs much more freely, also has a bark when thrashed but a gentle burble when driven round town etc
