Internal Door Handles!

Featured Replies

Yes, this is a riveting subject i know.. but hear me out!

I've gone from a 2001 Elegance to an 04 Vrs! Great!

Noticed though that the top part of the internal door handle (to pull it closed)... down from the power windows trim.. is hard plastic on the vrs (Oooo, my poor elbow).. and on the Elegance was a bit more like the dash.. squiggy..like rubber with foam underneath..

Now, I'm prob wrong.. but to get the squidgy door handle / arm rest back I could order a black elegance one and just switch over? the later elegances had a black interior option, didn't they?

maybe it's a production year thing though, rather then spec?

Thanks

Rob.

Nice idea, I do find them a bit hard on the elbows myself too :)

You'd have to see how the part numbers differed I suppose. Someone with access to ETKA would be able to tell you...

BUMP!

Anyone with ETKA know?

Thanks! :-)

I'd like to know too.... never new there was a diffence had the hard plastic in both my combis(comfort and bohemia)

If someone has the VIN number of an Elegance so equipped, that would help track down the part required...

Ok, Sorry for the bump but I've done a little net searching and found a Russian site with an on-line ETKA.. Yes, it's in Russian but the actual descriptions are in English!

HELP! What's the difference between Onyx and Black? Also, how do you work out which parts are for which trim levels?

Anyways, any help valued and as a bonus...LOOK online ETKA (that said.. I had to click & view about 20 pages to find this one) ;-)

go here!

http://www.elcats.ru/skoda/parts.asp?mdl=225&unit=7EC00027

or, if you want the whole thing..

http://www.elcats.ru/skoda

most models covered!

onyx is the colour of the vRS dash IIRC

So is it not black?

i dont think so, check with Skoda they will tell you for sure, but the vRS interior is slightly off black, tinge of blue in it,

Wuss!

:D;):P

yeeah i remember having them on my elegance too...I want them:) tat website doesnt work tough:confused:

So is it not black?

same colour, i think, they dont do any other door handle covers that are a different colour. i've seen the concept have them trimed in leather tho!

If that's the case.. and beige is beige.. whats onyx V black?

The site definitely lists all 3!.. did they do em in grey?

Maybe Onyx is indeed off navy?

Well, these are all the part numbers for the front left and right door arm rest/pull handle that site throws out.. several options.. several black! but which, if any.. is squidgy!

6Y0867435 cover cap left

6Y0867435 47H onyx

6Y0867436 cover cap right

6Y0867436 47H onyx

6Y0867435A cover cap left

6Y0867435A 78R beige -GA

6Y0867435A 77P black -EC

6Y0867436A cover cap right

6Y0867436A 78R beige -GA

6Y0867436A 77P black -EC

6Y0867435C cover cap left

6Y0867435C 77P black -VS

6Y0867435C RPS black -VS

6Y0867436C cover cap right

6Y0867436C 77P black -VS

6Y0867436C RPS black -VS

Thinking about it.. beige would only have one set (as it does) as it's only an elegance colour.. so only squidgy.. so 2 sets of numbers for black is promising.. but also, one set of onyx supports the vRS having a of black colour!

going by the beige only on elegance theory I'd have a guess at the black number variant under each beige being squidgy black?

I've emailed theskodashop.co.uk to see if they can supply the better quality door handle (arm rest) mentioned above.

I hate the scratchy plastic ones in my VRS and one rattles like crazy when the music is loud

I've never seen an Elegance model Fabia, are there any other interior parts that would increase the quality of the VRS interior? I've fitted the under radio drawer, which is great for an ipod etc.

  • Author

Not really.. I had the optional net on the bottom of the parcel shelf in my Elegance that I switched before i sold the Elegnace (with the drawer).. not much else to switch unless your elegance was black.. and then it'd only be the rear cup holder.. as far as i know?

Thanks for sending that email :-)

I have the soft ones in my vRS, managed to switch them with an Elegance(!) - when I get a chance I'll pop them off and get the part no.

:bump:

Did we get anywhere with this one? Either from the Skoda Shop or from delroy? Would quite like to get these sorted :)

Cheers,

Kinda died in the water Steve,

The best and most obvious way is to find a member with the black squidgy ones and ask them to flip over for the numbers.. short of that I dunno.

I'm probably going to order the other part with the window switches in too as the previous owner yank mine off and busted the big flat clip.. they don't sit right now.

I'll PM delroy to see if he ever got the numbers.. and maybe he can supply a pic to demonstrate the colour match and any difference between Onyx & Black.

Thanks to DELROY we now have the P/No for OSF

"the part number for the OSF one is: 6Y0 867 435A"

Looking on the list i pulled above, it's this part.

6Y0867435A cover cap left

6Y0867435A 78R beige -GA

6Y0867435A 77P black -EC

And so, this one must be the other side.

6Y0867436A cover cap right

6Y0867436A 78R beige -GA

6Y0867436A 77P black -EC

This shows that like I said before.. the logic of the beige ones only being made in squidgy form, and there for the black ones listed with them also being the squidgy spec Elegance ones, is more than likely right. :)

I've gotta go over to Skoda (once I get my vRS back from the shop) to pick up some new trim parts anyway, so will find a price on these and if with in budget, I'll order some too!

Shame your selling up Steve.. you seemed to have the most interest in this.
