Wii?

Featured Replies

I was lucky enough to pick up a wii fit on friday and just need to buy the console now (don't ask).

Is it possible to use a monitor connected to the wii or have a got to use a tv of sort?

I am sure if your monitor had AV out and you have the AV cables then i cant see why not (but i maybe wrong)

You can get VGA cables but they don't come as standard in the box. I think they may also be third party.

Just make sure you get a Wii Fit Board. Absolutely brilliant.

What inputs do you have on the monitor?

Inputs are DVI and VGA monitor is only 19" but i may buy a bigger one as it is only used for photo editing on Macbook.

It was going to be used in our bedroom as we have a 26" LCD.

It's the Wii fit including board i picked up as they had some in HMV.

You can get wii to vga cables.

If you are using the DVI for your Mac then this will be handy as there's no need to swap leads.

I'd just buy a bigger tv though :D

I think buying a new tv would be no no as swmbo would kill me as i have my eye on a PS3 as well for our room.;)

i still reckon when the nights draw in that we should start our own mario karts thread/challenge.

Don't cause yourself undue hassle Jay - just give the Wii Fit to me and no need to buy a Wii then ;) - or at least tell me where you got it...

Been after one for about a month now, and still no joy - sod all stock, or places charging £100+

Got ours from amazon.de. Lower than UK RRP, and with you quicker than the 5-7 week estimate in our case!

I recommend buying a new LCD and buy the component cables to improve the picture from the standard cables. Plus buy ferrari challenge as the gameplay is wicked and the roaring noise is incredible!

so we gonna play, this big briskoda online game or what?

I got time on my hands tonight so in for a bit of wii-fest...

Can you get a Wii HDMI cable?

I see on some games it says EHDMI, but never seen anything other than composite cables available.

Nope.. Only HD over component on the Wii which suits it just fine IMO.

it will be a case we would have to arrange a weekend evening long in advance to get enough involved. maybe another thread too:thumbup:
