NCB Question

Featured Replies

I have been driving for just over 2 years and its insurance renewal time. I have 3yr NCB fom direct line as stated on their renewal notice, they gave me an extra year ncb when I joined them because I was over 25. Is this extra years ncb going to cause a problem with other inurance companies, for example I cannot use most of their websites as they say I cannot have 3yrs ncb when I have only been driving for 2 years!

IME, I switched from Churchill to Budget ages ago, and my Churchill renewal said 2 years' NCB, but Budget mistakenly thought that meant I now had 3 years' NCB, so sent out paperwork based on 3 years' NCB  Like you, I'd only held my licence for 2 years at the time, but there wasn't any kind of cross-check...

Then again, I have over 5 years' now, so it makes no difference anyway! :ne_nau:

no mate, if the paper says you have 3 years then so be it.

Keep chtum if they ask you something and just refer them to Directline should they start asking questions.
