Mad with insurance

Featured Replies

I am moving back to the UK soon, and therefore need UK insurance.

I phoned a company, who asked have I ever claimed. I replied that I had claimed from when my car was turned into a golf ball by Hail stone.

I also told them that I had protected no claims.

End result was they put my insurance premium claiming that the hail stone claim was a claim made against me!

To top it off they then told me I could not pay monthly, so I went back on the internet, Me and the wife are 100% sure we cliked "pay monthly", but when it came to enter bank details, the years payment went out!

You get punnished for being good!

Rant over!!!

I hate car insurance with a passion!

If they've recorded "hail damage" as a claim against you, challenge it.

Which insurance company? Doesnt seem right hailstones being a claim against you.

You have made a claim, but a "claim against you" carries the implication of a 3rd party involvement.

It is a claim though.

It's nCb , so unless they were able to recover the cost in full from the other side's insurance then you will be loaded in future.

It will cost you more if you were at fault, but even if you did nothing wrong and still had to claim then that goes against you.

As God is unlikely to foot the bill for the hailstorms then that's just the way it is I'm afraid.

Check post #5 mate. I know it's a claim, but the form of words is wrong for a no-fault issue.
