Keep us informed, particularly about how the connection compares to the Fabia connection and how good the reception is.

29 sold though  :smirk:

Now my mk5 golf sharkfin is fitted (half hours work in the end...)

I'm very happy with it. I had to tape the connection together although I may

dig it out again and heatshrink the connection instead for a more secure finish...

That said it's well taped.

Signal seems fine on mine but I don't have the oem headunit in any more. (Sony Xplod)

Be CAREFUL when you remove the 2ft long trim piece to reveal the edge of the rooflining.

I destroyed mine taking it off but a new one is around £7 from the dealer. (I obviously had to buy one :D )

the trick is to pull it STRAIGHT DOWNWARDS TOWARDS THE FLOOR.

It will resist and then suddenly give and pop off. If you try to pull it any other way it will break!!!

Well it's here :) I just need to fit it, It says Vw underneath & this code 3BD 035 507.

Just need to get it fitted & report back :D

Is it a genuine part or an ebay cheapy?

Assuming it is genuine then you will probably notice a slight

reduction in reception if my experience

is anything to go by.

But in my case it's far from intrusive, just the odd fizz from time to time..

Looking at the base plate of the S3 unit, does it look like it goes into a square hole?

If so then it will probably fit if it is a genuine audi part. That said you'll almost certainly

find the connector plug is incompatible with the one in the Furby. A certain amount of minor

fettling is required to make the plugs fit together. Once together, tape or heatshrink

to keep the connection secure. A tiny squirt of clear mastic round the hole before you tighten

the big nut shouldl put your mind at rest over it leaking after having been changed.
