Hi all, the smoke that is produced out of the exhaust, what is the cause of this please? Also is it a bad thing at all?

Secondly, what functions does the fabia vrs' computer have as standard, ie miles to empty? I've been told this has to be 'unlocked' with a vagcom on some cars?
