The skoda liverpool dealer has quoted £420 to fix my Skoda.

It needs a new electrical contol unit, Skoda has updated this unit to include a new wiring loom (do not know how big or complex).

The problem is my wipers and indicators will not work, its an 2001 estate so not worth much cash but its either fix or replace the car.

To be honest, £420 to replace an ECU doesn't sound too extreme considering what it costs on some other cars. Some manufacturers charge around £800 just for the parts, with fitting on top.
