Fabia 3 estate: no roof rails option?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if it would be possible to order a Fabia 3 estate without roof rails (as in Fabia 1)?

Alternatively, how are the rails attached and could they be removed without leaving marks or holes?

Thanks very much

It's standard kit on the '3'. They're quite discreet as roof rails go. The highest point on the car is the arial which is mounted to the rear of the roof, just before the tailgate, so if it's the garage door you're worried about, removing the roof rails won't help much.

If you buy a top of the range 3 model, the likes of roof rails, side protection strips, floor mats and rear parking sensors should be optional and not enforced items. All very easily dealer fitted according to customer choice.

Missing items such as powered rear windows/ folding door mirrors, integrated HFT bluetooth and even sat nav. should appear as standard on a flagship model. If you do not want those items, fair enough, buy one of the lower models in the range.

The roof rails are bolted to the roof, so removing them will leave holes on either side. If you really do want a car without them, then buy the lower spec one and add in the options you really need.
