Swaping ISPs

Featured Replies

In-laws recent switched, and between Pipex and Sky were without BB for a week! Pipex killed their account within hours of the MAC being handed over.

I'm with Orange, as I get it for £5 being a mobile customer. Soon as I ditch them for my mobile, their whack this up to £20/month. So I too would switch to sky.

But I couldnt live without the net for a week!!!!

I though the idea was so you had a seamless switch?

I've been without it for over a week, but I moved house.

It's hell!

That's exactly the switch that i'll be making in a few weeks, glad I have my 3 mobile BB backup just in case!

When I switched from Freedom2surf to Talk Talk it was seamless. I went to work in the morning on F2s. I came home, changed the settings on the router and it was switched.

Awesome.

Xen (BT backbone) to Be (LLU) totally transparent switch-over.

Pipex were being ****s and they are not permitted to cut you off until switch over day then send you a bill for the difference.

you could always search for open wifi points, not that it is honest or anything and i for one would never do such a wicked thing

I'll lodge a complaint with Pipex then.

Worryingly an email welcoming the in-laws to pipex arrived in my inbox this morning.

I'm ignoring it.

Tiscali to Zen to F2s to Orange all seamless with no loss of service.

Could be a bad sign, I believe Papex are notorious for keeping on charging people who have changed providers.

Not when the DD's cancelled ;)

They pulled that with me after moving (so had to ditch them). I sent them a FU letter and refered them to the solicitor that handled my sale. Funnily enough, never heard anymore.

Now Virgin on the other hand, threatened to take me to the cleaners regarding an unsettled bill which was settled - they took the DD the day after we moved, then a week later, then tried a week after that... letters about bounced DD's, and several Moorcroft debt recovery letters too.
