As mine was one of the ones your talking about, I think the bag it came in is still in the back of the car, I will have a look tomorrow for you, and if so, post up the part number.

Tom, not all engine covers have the black one, as the one on my Octy vRS is the chrome/green one.

If so then this is the website, the product that does it is called the KVW100 and just plugs into your VAGCOM port under the steering column.

Just looked up this part number, it would seem its a diesel badge which was fitted to the diesel Octavia, Fabia and Roomster from new but no petrol models.....Maybe the diesel boys could confirm this?

The petrol Octavia badge part number is 038 103 940 B with the Fabia etc being different.
