have found problem looks like drive gear in gearbox has broken or somthing as its not driving shaft to sensor!! has anybody else come across this before and whats the cheapest easy way to fix! any ideas im thinking it could be new gearbox but all the gears work fine!! HELP!!

Has the speedo drive fallen inside the box or can you pull it out?

Speedo drive is still there pulled it out gearbox and plastic gear is still on there, unles there are meant to be two gears im not sure just looks to be the one!!! just strange how metal one in gear box has gone and not damaged plastic one on the probe!!

I would have thought then that the drive in the gearbox which sits along side the diff has come loose and not being driven. Assuming the transducer ontop of the drive isnt broken or the wiring to it hasnt rotted out (which is fairly common).
