my wife's fabia pax side window just fell into the door...i reckon the regulator is gone as i had similar probs with my golf....now my question is...fabia or rather skoda is not abig in this part of the world so getting parts can be a pain...was asking what other VAG car part can i use and fit without probs...was thinking of VW POLO or SEAT IBIZA of the same year....HELP

I had to replace my wife's window regulator recently & I bought one from German Swedish French supplied by Magneti Marellli (part numbers AC709, 350103709000). This is OK but it is only the mechanism. If you buy the Skoda version it is the complete carrier unit and you only have to re fit the speaker. I doubt if the Polo or Seat parts will be the same.

Skoda only for the complete regulator.
