Serviceing

Featured Replies

Just wondering, i get my car serviced every year in March and we only do about 3500 miles a year which is nothing. I don`t wether to keep doing the yearly or get it done every 2 years on 7000 miles.

What do you guy`s recon.

The servicing is every 12 months OR 10k miles whichever occurs first.

Low mileage does not mean skip service, indeed it could be a reason for more frequent servicing. Short start/stop trips are more harmfull to the engine than long ones because the oil does not usually get upto temperature.

Cheers for that, i`ll keep it at a yearly then. I know my next service has to have a new cam belt as it will be 7 years old then.

It should have had a cambelt at four years, two belts and two tensioners to change on your engine.

Is that expensive.
