We are collecting our new Fabia 2 cars next Saturday. I wonder if someone could tell me the redline limit on the tachometer for a 1.4 TDi (80bhp) and, if different, a 1.9 TDi (105bhp)?

4500 me thinks

1.9TDI will rev up to 5000rpm but wouldn't advise doing so, i missed a gear and it sounded like a bag of spanners!

Redline is at 4,500 but it will rev past that to somewhere around 5K which is where the govenor is set.

ive just got rid of my 1.9tdi and im sure it revved to 4500? lol. never really took it up that far as max torque is at about 2200rpm

Looking a my rev counter (1.4tdi 80) you hit the red at about 4200, you can go up to about 4800.
