vRS springs

Featured Replies

Hi all, as anyone changed the springs and dampers on there Octavia II vRS.

Just bought a full set of vRS dampers that have only done 1000 miles for £11.60 on ebay. So am now after a full set of vrs springs ;) .

Can anyone help?

Just want to stiffen the whole car up, as I tow a caravan and the back end feels quite soft and bouncy, or will it feel ok just to add the vrs dampers?

Try a post in the 'wanted' section of Freedom, for starters.

However, IMHO vRS springs should help you as they are stiffer than regular ones and only 10mm lower; I would not recommend eibachs or similar as the 30mm lowering would restrict your suspension travel detrimentally when towing.

Certainly the vRS dampers should improve things for you as the are stiffer than regular ones.

I'm curious as to how VRS dampers will work on a non VRS as the cars have a different mass and as such the springs and dampers may not work as well on this.
