Help! Not sure what fault code means

Featured Replies

Hello there,

This is my first post. I bought a Vag-Com code reader, after my EPC light on my Skoda Fabia 1.4 16v came on intermittently. Having done a fault search, this is the only code that came up:

VAG-COM Version: Release 409.1-US

Control Module Part Number: 6Q0 907 379

Component and/or Version: ABS 5.7 FRONT V00

Software Coding: 00036

Work Shop Code: WSC 23021

1 Fault Found:

01314 - Engine Control Module

49-10 - No Communications - Intermittent

I recently had the brakes replaced, and wondered whether the garage had smashed their way through one of the ABS sensors. Any help or advice about what it could be, and what it could possibly cost me would be very, very much appreciated.

Many thanks,

Tom

Nothing to do with abs sensors etc.

Its a can link between the engine ecu and abs control unit.

Id clear it down and keep an eye on it.

Thanks Lummox,

If it kept failing, do you know how much approx it would cost to get it repaired?

Cheers,

Tom

It's a bit of an open book on that one Tom, you don't really know the problem yet.
