Crich - Red October day - Sun 26 Oct

Featured Replies

The Tramway Museum at Crich is hosting it's annual Red October event on Sun 26 October.

It usually attracts one of the biggest gatherings of Eastern Bloc relics.

Skodas, Trabants, Ladas, Wartburgs, Moskvitchs, Tatras plus stuff you've never heard of.

I'm hoping to go in my 1965 Octavia, fingers crossed for nice weather.

Hope to see some of you there.

cheers ... Darren

Hi Darren

I'll be bringing the 1979 120LS

free place for you on the club stall if you want. a couple of places left if anyone wants to claim them for pre fall of the wall cars (before 1989)! Should be a 1000MB, S100, S110R and hopefully a couple of estelles as well!!! All others welcome. Good day out, free tram rides etc

Thanks Mark

I'll put some "rain-ex" on the windscreen so I don't need the wipers,

then the dynamo should keep the lights on!

I've even got the day off work, so no excuses.

cheers ... Darren

I'll try and get permission from Her indoors I think, (alternatly, I'll tell her I'm taking her for a nice day out :D...)

Emphasise the beautiful peak district scenery,

the lovely ambience of the olde worlde shoppes in the "village"

Try to look surprised as you arrive and say ....

"oh that's a coincidence a classic car event ... today

.. well aren't we the lucky ones!"

Getting in the mood for Crich

  • 2 weeks later...

doh... managed to get there, couldn't find how to actually get in... got informed we were late for meeting some friends for a meal and had to turn round and get back, I could see some nice looking cars in the carpark from the road at the top though...

and I had a nice fun blast along the A6 :D...
