VAG-COM Error Code

Guys,

A mate has an Audi A3 1.8T and is experiencing an intermittent hesitation at about 1500 - 2000rpm. I ran an Auto Scan using VAG-COM and the following fault code was displayed:

Controller: 06A 906 018 AQ

Component: 1.8L R4/5VT MOTR HS D03

Coding: 04000

1 Fault Found:

16885 - Vehicle Speed Sensor: Implausible Signal

P0501 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

Readiness: N/A

I've cleared the fault and it hasn't re-appeared although there is still a hesitancy now and again :confused: It suggests that there is an intermittent fault with one of the engine speed sensors as detailed but we've decided to run the car for a few hundred miles to see if it clears itself and then run another scan. Just curious if anyone has experienced this fault code before?
