have i ordered too many options ?

Featured Replies

the skoda dealer's computer ordering system will not accept my order as there are too many options and its confused !! he has had to put a manual order in via skoda UK. :)

looks like my car could quite possibly be the first UK car in 1.8TSI DSG format. There are one or two petrol cars in manual but not DSG.:thumbup:

Appaarently the person at skoda Uk who took the order said it looked like a really nice spec'd car and that satin grey with ivory leather would look really nice !

bet you cant wait, that is a good spec that you have ordered.

What options did you order? I put quite a few extras on my SE

Heated seats, metallic paint, rain sensor, dimming mirror, sunset glass, headlight washers

He probably thinks you need to start a few more threads asking about some of the options you have ordered as you have missed a couple out :eek:

:hooray::rofl::rofl:

Mine was exactly the same. Hopefully, Skoda UK got it right when they processed the order.

It seems that there are still some anomalies in the ordering system, particularly when it comes to heated rear seats and rear side sunblinds. In the case of the seats, you can still only order both heated front and rear seats as an option, when the Elegance gets the fronts as standard. With the blinds, you still have to order both the rear blind (which is standard) and the side blinds.

This would be okay, if it weren't for the fact that you get charged for the heated front seats and the rear sunblind, both of which are standard.

Skoda UK did a manual override of this on my car, but you'd really think it would be sorted by now.

Shall we play the 'Who's got the most options game?' :rofl::D

i think you might win as i didnt go for the rear heated seats. not much point as my kids will be in plastic car seats / boosters for length of my ownership of this vehicle. only time we have an adult in the back they squeeze in between and this is not heated anyway !

good job i wasnt buying an audi....have you see how long (and expensive) their options list is ? !! (infact the sum total of my options is less than the price of "comfort seat" in the A4 - leather, electric adjust, heated, cooled)

I went for them as our daughter is almost tall enough to do without the car seat now. Also, my parents travel with us quite a bit, and both of them find the heated seats beneficial on long journeys.

thats the problem with having 2 kids and a 5 seater car. thats why we started out looking at things like the s-max so we coudl transport the oldies and the kids. then we realised we only do this about 2/3 times per year so makes more sense to simply take 2 cars then we dont have drive a bus all year !!!
