Addictive PC and Wii game - World of Goo!

Featured Replies

After a tip-off on one of the tech sites i frequent i checked out a game called "world of goo"

Its a Indie game (means independant for those wondering)

In its simplist form its a physics based game where you have to build structures out of these little balls of goo, and also save as many as possible

I pre-ordered the game (its $20 which is just over £12 in real money) and you get the preview first chapter to play with...

Its stupidly addictive.. especially the "goo corporation" part where all the goo you save you use to build the highest tower possible, and are pitted against everyone else in the game... at one point i was in the top 100 in the world before my tower collapsed :o

Anyone who likes puzzle games should check this out.. its well worth the money :)

Currently yes... but if you like this kind of puzzle game, i gaurentee you will love this.. ive just lost about 4 hours playing it

so buy the game and get a demo, top thinking!

i normally to trial a game before buying it :)

You ever tried Loco Roco on the PSP?

The full release of 'World of Goo' was released this morning to subscribers of the demo.

SWMBO mentioned LocoRoco as it goes lol.

That is very addictive like. You have to press on to the next level, so that you get more Goo balls to build your mighty tower in the Corporation section.

I can't do the tower of Goo though, it's too hard.

Have searched everywhere in the Shopping Channel and cannot find it, the only thing I can think of is that it looks like the latest update to the 'Shop' is 10th October!

Any further assistance appreciated :)

WOW! Just got it this morning and its fab!

It even runs silky smooth on the little Vaio laptop (900mhz, 512mb, old intel graphics)

Very addictive indeed!
