As some of you have read i had a funny noise from my engine :thumbdwn: , The skoda tech guy came out today and after a long time he agreed with me that there was a funny noise and agreed to fix the problem Just a shame the garage didnt do this in the first place :thumbdwn: .

Glad to hear your getting it sorted,i had a similar problem with my local dealer when i had a boost problem,they took it in on sevral occasions over a 6 month period and never fixed the problem but i got that fed up that i decided to travel to the next nearest dealer who was about 50 miles away and they had it two days and hey presto its fixed,some dealers just dont seem to know there a$%e from there elbow

Pete, let us know what the problem was once it has been identified and fixed. And well done!

Its going in on thursday for the work to be done, so will let you all know what the problem was as many more might have it....... :eek:

ok, sorry its a bit late but bin busy with new kid and all.

Well had the dealer carry out the work recomeded by skoda uk, and gess what the noise and gone(done 500miles and still no noise ).

They changed the water pump, cam belt and the roller pulleys for the cam belt, they told me that they wern`t sure what the noise was but i have got my susspictions that it was the water pump :confused: , anyway there you go a result for the little guy.
