boost gauge, psi or bar? & engine type?

Featured Replies

Hi all again,

couple of points I wanted clearing up and thought you lot would have an few words about it...

I am replacing my EGR with an ALLARD replacement pipe, This pipe comes with a tapping for a boost gauge. just wanted to know what is the best to have and what range should be displayed. either BAR or PSI? which is it to be.... the car will be remapped as soon as possible so I want a gauge that will work well after the remap...

Also I have the VRS SE but am unsure what engine type is fitted. I read threads in here about BLZ and ASZ engines but am unsure where to look or what I have under the bonnet.

any advice on both fronts would be great thanks...

Yours is the BLT engine.

BAR or PSI is personal preference.

I have PSI.

For PSI I would say get a gauge that reads to 30 PSI minimum.

For bar - 2 BAR or 2.5 BAR
