4 wheel alingment after new springs

Featured Replies

i have read on the guides on here after fiting a new set of eibachs springs, but keeping oem dampers, you should have a 4 wheel alingment done. i spoke to the chap at the local tyre place askin if they do this, he said yes but i would need to supply him with the figures as they would be different from standard as the car had been lowered

is this true or does the car just get checked to standard spec as im a little confused

any info would be much appreciated

cheers in advance

rob

He is probably correct, but I'd doubt if he set it up for an equivalent car - ie one that comes dropped a bit like Ibiza FR or Polo Sport - or even Fabia if Sport suspension is a factory option (I don't know), that you would notice any differance. Good to see that someone that has "changed/improved" their car is keen capitalise on this and to make sure it tracks true!

I was assumming that your car was not a VRS, just a run-of-the-mill Fabia - so these springs would be dropping it down from standard run-of-the-mill height. If that was the case, then as I said, he would probably use Fabia/Polo/Ibiza "one drop from standard" - ie Polo Sport - Ibiza FR - Fabia ??

I aligned mine as a standard vRS. Might put the camber out a touch though...
