Had my VRS for a while now still unsure if its re mapped or not cos never driven a standard one. Seems too quick to be standard though. Posted a link to 2 videos of its 3rd Gear. What do you think?

its very hard for me to tell from the film clips.

Maybe you could post some times eg. 30-70 in 3rd gear or 50 -70 in 4th. this may give a more accurate reading. videos are very subjective

My fabia is standard with PD160 and filter and i will do my best to compare. my gut feeling is your car is standard.

one way to tell could be to see how much power there is after 4k. Std cars tend to tail off rather quickly after this, where as most mapped cars rev further to the red line.

Looks standard to me tbh.

Perhaps the choice of song in the second video gave the impression you were going quicker than you actually were?!? :P

Put it on a rolling road.

Its smokes alot when on full throttle. Doesnt seem to have that sudden flat diesels get after 4000. Ill have to get some timings or put it on a rolling road. Anyone know of any around chester/warrington area? and leave my choice of music alone lol :P

Do you know anyonme else with a fabia vRS to try like a totally standard one or take a visit to your local skoda dealer and ask for a test drive of a fabia vRS on the forecourt.

Dont know anyone else with a totally standard one no unless there is anyone on here near chester?. Looks like a rolling road is the best bet.

Have a look in the North West Section there is a rolling road day happening there, not too sure if you will be too late to get your name down.

well been out to get some 0-60 times with mate in the car. Did 5 runs. 4 were exactly the same 7.4 secs and one 7.6. All these with very little traction in first and 2nd gears.

Mine is running the standard map - looks very similar to that

It ran 145bhp and 238lb ft on the rolling road, with exhaust system and pd160 & panel.

It is slightly quicker than a PD140 Golf MK5.

well ive timed mine and a standard one 40-70mph. Mine was around 4.3 and the standard was 5.9. Im going to take to awsome in november to the briskoda RR day just to make sure and see what power it is actually putting out.
