:thumbdwn: Had a look last night at topping up the power steering reservoir (Fabia 1.9 TDI ), after looking all around the engine bay I just could not see it anywhere ( not like the OCY which is on the top ! ) so I reverted to looking in the handbook and it shows it in between the battery and the front headlight, upon looking in this area I still could not see it :( so I had a look at my lads VRS Fabia and his could be seen below the battery in the wing, so going back to the wifes car I could just make out the edge of the cap buried below the battery case and some cables. How are you supposed to get access to it ? it looks as though I would have to remove the battery and move some cables just to be able to remove the cap nevermind adding fluid to the container

Yup, that's it. It can be reached with double jointed wrists, but sensible to take battery out as you can't judge levels from the side. Be positive - it's an opportunity to clean the terminals and the battery-top fuses, but do note where the battery panels go as you pull them apart or you'll have one over when you put it back together (how do I know that?)
