First few 'modifications'

Right, i think its about time for a much needed update, over 6 months!

Not a huge amount has occured, started off with ditching the BMC as I decided I preferred the OEM look, so thats now back to standard whilst keeping the EGR 'race pipe' and stainless boost pipe.

As I said when I started this thread I want to keep it 'simple and smooth looking', so exterior wise I replaced the standard wipers for aeros, and colour coded the grill. Instead of going for body colour I went for satin black and did the number plate surround while I was at it, added some pressed plates and finally the mandatory LCR splitter.

I toyed around with the idea of blacking out the B pillars but it looked a bit gash once i did them with vinyl unless they were painted it was a no go.

Finally I picked myself up some FK highsports this weekend and fitted them yesterday, fully wound down went for a test drive this resulted in lots of lovely scrapes on my undertray and a split CV boot. So today I cleaned all the lovely grease off my wheel arch, wheel and every where else it managed to fling itself.

So how she finally sits now, 3/4 wound down, quite happy with it, for the time being .......

Sitting about 2 inches off the ground, photo doesn't really show it.

Looks really good, black grill surround looks smart! :)

Need to lower mine and buy a LCR splitter...

I had FK's on my Ibiza TDI and they got quite bouncy after a few months, keep an eye on them and grease them up regularly! :D

It looks really nice

So lovely and clean

Yup, I wouldn't have plumped for FKs either personally - but good luck with them

Looking nice though - good stance and the mods you've done work well.

Steve

Nice look. my FK coilies rusted solid in two years, so keep an eye on yours.

Looks good  You thought about painting the fog surrounds black?

Red is still the best colour IMHO

yer I've tinkered with the idea but would prefer not to take a factory finish and replace it with rattle can, unlike the chrome grill it looks alright standard.

I'm starting to miss mine now :(

Looks great mate. Deffo Red for the win. I'm still in two minds about the B pillers in black. We'll see though. Nice work though. What was wrong with the BMC? No-one can see the airbox when the bonnet is shut?? Which is most of the time.

Just drones too much, cant engine brake without making a scene ! They sound lovely on petrols but not grumpy diesels.

Fair enough, you just didnt like fact it was overpowering the turbo whistle :) Gotta love it!!
