Is any one else having problems?

Featured Replies

Hello all just wondered if any one else is having similar problems I ordered my 170 dsg with toys on Aug 11th and still no sign I keep getting promised phone calls form customer services and nothing happens one very disillusioned customer at this end, if I had not paid my hefty deposit I would be considering canceling the car by now.

Model - does it have solar sunroof - have you spoken to your dealer, or are you on a drive the deal type arrangement????

Don't bother speaking to customer services, just phone your dealer.

I have spoken to my dealer several times and yes it does have a solar sunroof but he has been told by customer services that there is no delay now on the sunroof. Right now I am loosing patience with the whole dam thing. I have now go to tax MOT service my old car so even more money down the drain.

just had customer services on they say all they can guarantee is that I will get a car no certain date and they know of no reason why the car is in full reverse down the production line.

Lets see if my threat to cancel and hand it to my company solicitor works.......worse still seen one on the road today maybe I should have ordered Grey lol

Speak to your dearer and get them to lend you a car.

Thats just what I would do, if your dealer wants to keep you happy he will take your old car in and give you something to keep you going till the Superb turns up. No way you should end up forking out your hard-earned for what is a Skoda / dealer problem

You're not alone. I ordered a 170dsg with most toys (incl solar sunroof excl sunset) on 30 July - originally in the hope of avoiding an MOT, and having to renew tax as well. I ended up getting the car mot'd, fortunately it only cost £25 - and I will reclaim unused tax. My dealer was willing to give me a car but I decided to continue to use my own meantime.

I don't waste my time with SUK customer services any more; they create problems, they don't solve them. Info-line at Skoda cz is far more helpful and efficient than SUK. Try asking them what is going on.

'd agree with the person above about asking your dealer to sort you out with a car. ive had 2 cars held up at port recently. one the part exchange needed a mot and tax, so i took it in early and gave them a fabia to drive around in. the other we mot'd it for them as at the end of the day when it does come in and we want to move it on, having a mot helps allot, so its not money wasted!

shame your having a poor waiting time, i hope they sort something out for you soon

Hi all thank you for your support one of you mentioned an info line in cz what is the full number for that?

I have agreed to sell my present superb to my step son hence no part exchange so sadly the dealer has no obligation to lend me a car, even worse the car requires a service and some running repairs done to it I won't get much change from a grand unfortunately but hey ho its the credit crunch lol and its only money.:eek::rofl:

Email address: [email protected]

Ask your dealer for the UK Commission Number (order number) and quote it in your email.

i emailed that address six weeks ago with a technical question - still waiting for the reply !!!

I sold my Civic private in Nov last yr and my Octavia did not come in until Jan this yr, but my dealer gave me a car to keep me mobile while waiting, and yours may do the same. You wont know unless you ask

This may sound rather harsh, but I don't think you are in too bad a position.

So you are selling your car to your son in law and don't want it to be in tip-top condition and potentially not road legal? If you don't service it presumably he will and knows that, and will be thinking about that in the price. In the grand scheme of things a few hundred quid compared to the £15k+ isn't that bad. Could either ask your dealer for a car (although I see from your other post that with 1000 mile a week that is unlikely, but might get them moving), or ask for a very good price on the service to compensate you.

Best of luck in getting it resolved though, I'm sure you'll love it when it gets here, and I'd rather wait than have something that isn't reliable if thats what the hold-up is.

I just want to put on record my bad experiences with Skoda UK's customer services department.

I have been a delighted Octavia owner for a number of years until running into problems with a main dealer (Chequered Flag, Attleborough, Norfolk) over service work.

Having failed to get satisfaction from the dealer I contacted Skoda UK by phone. I was told to email a Steve Bunn. Ten days, five emails (including one to the Managing Director) and three phone calls later I haven't even received the courtesy of a single acknowlegement, yet alone satisfaction over the problems. It seems Skoda UK just don't care about their customers.

Another main dealer, who I was forced to pay to rectify the problems, says Skoda UK's customer service department used to be good. But they relocated it recently since when it has been a disaster.

'Manufacturer of happy drivers'

Your opinion counts.

TOSH!

Great car. Shame about the after-sales service. The Octavia is due for renewal soon, and sadly I'm looking at other brands.
