Removing CD Changer bracket

Featured Replies

Having sold my CD changer and original head unit to Dougal (nice to meet you at VWNW :)) I need to remove the bracket from my boot.

Removing the bolts is no problem but they go through the bodywork into a metal bar.

Can I get to the metal bar to remove it? Is it accessible by sticking my arm up the back of the bumper or will it just drop out?

I can find pics of the main bracket on ETKA but not the other bit.

Help!

the bolts that hold the changer in also hold the bumper sides in via that bar your on about the "bar" is fixed to the bumper so will not fall out just undo bolts remove bracket then stick bolts back in hope this helps

Ahh, that makes sense. That's what I've done!

Carefully removed one bolt at a time just in case.

Thanks for that - the last thing I want is a loose bumper!
