Met up with my brother the other weekend, who has a BMW Z3 2.2 (164 bhp i think), kept up with him from a roundabout, up to 120 then I think he pulled away a bit before chickening out..... but hey he was impressed with my little Furby.... and so was I - I thought he wasn't trying coz I didn't push her that hard, but he said he was red lining every gear.

Anybody had similar surprising experiences?

Mine (chipped) ate a 320i last week - I think they have the same engine (170bhp)

On a private test track, mine kept up easilly with an FTO...

Mine has some toys though lol.
