N95 8g or N85 ?!

Featured Replies

T-mob and Orange, if in branded boxes, are locked no?

Only Voda (now - not previously) and O2 are unlocked, regardless of store.

Yeah if in branded boxes. It will depend on what handset, I know a large retailer that rarely supply branded handsets for anything (Although it's not impossible for the odd one).

CPW by chance?

CPW by chance?

Yeah.

Which is odd, as when I got the N96 popped in there.

Only if I went O2 and Voda would the staff give me an unlocked phone (of any Nokia). All Orange and Tmob's are/were locked and branded. I asked as SWMBO's sister was after one to use her Orange Sim with.

I'm still looking around and dialaphone are now offering the blackberry storm for £35 a month with unlimited texts and internet.

I think what dialaphone do is buy a pay monthly SIM, like this : ooops - the Orange shop

and then buy a separate handset.

Basically it's another way of finance for the phone I think.

Just get an iphone and be done with it :)

They'll fund it with the network kick backs. They'll get cash for the connection, plus more if they hit certain connection rates. Can be as much as £400 per customer. If the network provide the phone with an RRP of £150, then they've made a nice profit ;)
